Toddler dies as door frame falls on her

NEW DELHI: A two-year-old girl died as a part of the door frame collapsed on her while her parents were working in a bungalow in South Delhi's CR Park on Wednesday.

The girl was identified as Deepa and she accompanied her parents who were working as daily wagers and repairing the bungalow when the accident happened.

She was playing with her sister when the part of the door frame hit her head.

Police was called and she was immediately rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries.

The Delhi police has registered a case in this regard.

"We have registered a case in this accident and are investigaating the matter," said DCP South Atul Kumar Thakur.

The body of the girl has been sent for potmortem and the police is investigating this case of negligence.
