Three men held in Narela for raping girl in moving vehicle

NEW Delhi: A 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped by three men inside a moving vehicle in Rohini's Narela area in the wee hours of Wednesday, police said.

Cops said around 1.40 am on Wednesday, patrolmen noticed a suspicious Tata Ace mini truck car. They chased the vehicle for some distance and stopped it. The vehicle was examined and a girl and some men were found to be its occupants. The girl told the cops that she had been raped by the three men inside the vehicle.

Two of the accused were arrested on the spot, while the third managed to flee the scene. However, he too was soon caught. The accused – namely Ravi Kumar, Mohit and Vinod – were booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and sent to judicial custody. Sources claimed that the accused men, all daily wage labourers, and the girl live in the same locality.
