Thak Thak gang members steal bag from judge's car

New Delhi: 'Thak Thak gang' stole a bag from the car of Additional Sessions Judge in Okhla area in South-East Delhi. Police said that they have nabbed few persons and investigation is going on whether they were the culprits behind the crime. The incident took place on September 24. Police have registered a case in this regard. According to police, the victim in the case, while returning from Okhla Phase-I in her car, was standing at the red light crossing of the bank at Maa Anandmai Marg.

"While she was sitting in the car waiting for the red light to turn green," police said. When the red light turned green suddenly a sound came and passerby informed the victim that two bike riders have taken her purse from the rear seat of the car after breaking the right rear door glass.

The purse was having complainant's important documents. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (south-east) Kumar Gyanesh said that two riders were following her car. They also tried to distract her. Finding the right moment at the traffic signal, the accused fled away with the purse.

A team deployed in civil dress has apprehended some other members of the gang while committing crime in the same area.

Police said that on Thursday, they had deployed their team members in civil dress. They apprehended some other members of the gang while they were trying to steal again in the same area. A case has been registered and further investigation in the matter is underway.
