Suvidha sewa kiosk inaugurated at AIIMS

NEW DELHI: Now, Delhi residents don't have to run from pillar to post for basic information and for their grievances redressal. Visitors will be provided with the various online services of Delhi Police and other assistance at one point, without having to visit the Police station for their needs with the inauguration of Facilitation Kiosk (Suvidha Sewa) at AIIMS. The Kiosk a joint effort by Delhi police and NDMC was inaugurated by LG Anil Baijal on Friday.

The operational part of the kiosk will be looked after by Delhi Police, with the round-the-clock presence of police officials. A Lady Public Facilitation Officer will be there to guide and facilitate the public during the daytime. The NDMC will help in the maintenance of the Kiosk, which is equipped with toilet and potable water ATM. The Public Facilitation Officer will help in addressing the grievances of the visitors and in guiding them further.

Visitors will also find brochures on various online and offline services being provided by Delhi Police. The kiosk is provided with internet connectivity for online registration of FIRs regarding thefts, vehicle thefts, lost mobile, articles, besides several other service delivery performas that is tenant and servant verification forms.

On the occasion, LG said that the Council had set an example by developing this facilitation kiosk within a time span of only one month and added that the other Civic Bodies of the Capital city should follow the steps taken by NDMC for providing better and modern facilities to the citizens in this regard.
