Son of former UP CM ND Tiwari brought dead to Delhi hospital

New Delhi: Rohit Shekhar Tiwari, son of former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, ND Tiwari, has died on Tuesday. At around 6.40 PM, a statement was released by Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Vijay Kumar confirming the death. He said, "Rohit Shekhar Tiwari has been brought dead to Max Saket hospital. Further details are awaited."

Later around 8:46 pm, a detailed media statement was released by DCP ( South) Kumar in which he stated that Rohit Shekhar Tiwari was brought to Max Hospital, Saket, around 5 pm in an ambulance. "His mother Ujjwala Tiwari was already in Max Hospital Saket for her personal treatment where she received a call from home that Rohit is unwell and bleeding from the nose, and an ambulance call was also made by them," said DCP South.

According to Joint Commissioner, Delhi Police, Devesh Shrivastava, Rohit Shekhar Tiwari suffered a nose bleeding, which his servants reported to his mother. Police further said that after getting the information about his son, she reached to Defence Colony, along with an ambulance which brought him to the hospital. "However, upon arrival, he was declared brought dead by the doctors on duty at Hospital," police said.

According to the hospital statement, they received an emergency call from the residence of Rohit Shekhar Tiwari at 4:41 pm. An ambulance brought Tiwari to Max Hospital, Saket, where he was declared ''brought dead'' at the hospital emergency. As per the established procedure, we informed the authorities. We express condolences at the passing away of Mr Tiwari.'' Joint CP (South East) Devesh Srivastava further said that they will conduct the postmortem and further the report will reveal the actual reason behind his death.

Rohit Shekhar Tiwari famously fought a long-drawn battle with his father ND Tiwari, who for the longest time refused to accept him as his son. In 2014, after the number of denials, lawsuits, and a DNA test, ND Tiwari finally accepted that Rohit was his son. Later ND Tiwari married Ujjwala Tiwari, the mother of Rohit Shekhar in a ceremony that took place in Lucknow.
