Shradhanand College to introduce BSc (Hons) Computer Science, BSc (Hons) in Mathematics

New Delhi: Soon, Swami Shradhanand College of Delhi university is going to introduce its three year undergraduate courses of BSc (Hons) Computer Science and BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from this academic session. However, the college had applied for permission to start these courses in 2014 earlier too, the college was running a professional B Tech course, which was somehow has been closed. But its remaining set up lying defunct, said an official.

"We have specialised laboratory and trained faculty to teach the courses in computer science and BSc in mathematics, so we come up with these two professional courses, which are much in demand both in industrial and research sector," Dr PV Khatri, Principal, Swami Shradhanand College.

"Students will be selected on merit basis, those interested in perusing these courses, there will be a total of 48 seats available for each courses and the student will be selected in total of three cutoffs. The first cut off of the entrance examination will be announced on June 19 which is expected to be same as previous year, around 95 percent," he further added.

"These courses have wide prospects in the certain future and can easily secure a job for the aspirant in the industry and if any pursue for higher education can also explore the safe position in the education sector, he added.

Currently, 4,600 students are perusing their studies in this college.

Meanwhile, UGC has granted an amount to develop advance infrastructure, while adding the 60 rooms to its premises.
