Sharpshooter of Gogi gang held

New Delhi: The sharpshooter of Jitender Gogi gang was arrested from East Delhi's Ghazipur area. Police said that the accused was wanted in firing incident of Mahendra Park in Jahangir Puri. One Pistol and three live cartridges were recovered from his possession.Police identified the accused as Pradeep alias Kala (22), a resident of village Bhalaswa.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Jasmeet Singh said that accused revealed that he along with other co-accused persons all members of Jitender alias Gogi gang, fired 10-15 rounds in the street and house of other gangsters identified as Naresh Kumar in I-Block in Jahangir Puri. Assailants had criminal rivalry with Naresh.

Adding further, the DCP said that due to the gravity of the crime, many teams were deployed to arrest these criminals. Later on October 14, a team of special cell arrested one associate of accused named Tushar. The accused disclosed that he was wanted in three other heinous pending trial cases also. The accused was arrested by the team of inspector (AATS East) Dinesh Arya. Police said that accused was not interested in studies and fell in company of bad elements. Later, he joined the gang of Jitender to earn quick money.

"He is an active and desperate criminal. He was absconding from several under trial in heinous cases," said DCP Jasmeet Singh.
