Serving Airforce officer complains to MCG over illegal colony

Gurugram: A serving officer in Indian Airforce complained to the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) over the illegal colony at a range of 300 meters of the Airforce station.

According to the complainant who is a serving as a rank of Wing Commander the land mafia was setting up the illegal colony despite a strict order by the Punjab and Haryana High Court of the prohibition.

Moreover, the complainant has also mentioned of the private builder who is developing the colony illegally.

It is important to note that despite several protests and even concessions by the public administrations there have been many destructions carried out by the MCG. It is estimated that there are over 6000 residential and commercial structures situated in the 300 meters of Airforce ammunition depot alone.

"We have received a complaint from the serving Airforce officer regarding an illegal colony coming up around the area. We will investigate the matter and if required be raze the structures if it is found to be illegal," said a senior MCG official.
