Second route of Gurugraman bus services launched

Gurugram: Aiming to resolve the transportation woes of the Millennium City, the second route of the city bus service Gurugraman was launched here on Friday. A total of 25 buses will ply in this route, which has been allotted the number 112.

The total length of the route is 19.7 km, with 76 stoppages.

The bus service will connect Palam Vihar with Ghata village and will pass through Sector-56 and the Southern Periphery road. Over 10,000 passengers per day are likely to be benefitted from this service.

The buses will be available every eight minutes and its fare range between Rs 10 and Rs 30, an official said.

All buses of the Gurugraman service run on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and are equipped with sevearl modern features, like Smart Card Ticketing system, real time Passenger Information System (PIS), Intelligent Transport Management System (ITMS), Automatic Bus Vehicle Location System, CCTV cameras, public address system and stop request buttons and wheelchair ramp.

There are plans to induct 150 more buses into the Gurugraman fleet by the end of the financial year, to take the of the total number of buses in the service to 200.
