SDMC taking violation of new motel policy seriously

New Delhi: South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has informed that it has been taking the cases of violation of recently enforced motel policy seriously.

It has been observed that the motel owners have been providing their places for organizing marriage and other social functions by just on the ground of depositing security amount and without submitting any permission fee and obtaining permission letter.

Without making payment of the permission fee and obtaining permission letter, they erected pandals and allowed social functions there. This is a gross violation of the new policy.

The motel owners have understood that mere depositing security amount has given them an exemption to offer their places for social functions and marriages on their own terms though it is essential to deposit permission fee and obtain permission letter prior to offering their place for social occasions.

The officers and engineers of Building Department, South Zone on Wednesday took a round of Chattarpur to see for themselves any violation by the motels. They found that pandals were erected in Country Inn and Radiance Motels but permission fee was not deposited and no permission letter was issued by the department.
