SDMC opens exclusive park for children at Greater Kailash-1

NEW DELHI: The South Delhi Municipal Corporation dedicated an exclusive park Nandan Van at Greater Kailash-1 to the children on Saturday. The Standing Committee Chairperson Shikha Rai said that first of its kind children park has been developed with an amount of Rs one crore approximately.

On the occasion, New Delhi MP Meenakshi Lekhi, the SDMC Commissioner Puneet Kumar Goel and others senior officers were present .

The children up to 12 years of age from all parts of Delhi will be allowed to enjoy in the park, the accompanying parents will also be allowed entry. The park situated in a serene, aesthetic and green environment has been offering lots to children to have fun and joy.

Apart from swings, board games area, rope bridges and other different play equipment, the Artistic gates with sculptures attracts and welcome the children for lots of fun places to explore in this amusement park.

The Commissioner, Dr. Puneet Kumar Goel stated that the credit of developing this park over an unused park transferred by DDA to SDMC goes to Rai. He appreciated the equipment installed in the park and asked the horticulture department to make available similar equipment also in

the schools.
