Greater Noida: Gautam Buddh Nagar police have booked a private construction contractor and his few other accomplices for allegedly thrashing a gang rape survivor forcing her to withdraw the case filed against them. Cops said that the incident took place on Monday night in Beta-2 area of Greater
As per reports, the 24-years-old victim was allegedly attacked by five men who were travelling in a Santro car, around 10:30 pm on Monday, when she was returning home from a nearby market in Beta-2 area.
She was brutally beaten with sticks which injured her badly while both of her hands and her ribs got fractured.
The accused persons fled from the spot leaving her behind and she was taken to nearby Kailash hospital and got discharged on
Following the incident, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Gautam Buddh Nagar ordered an enquiry into the case while an FIR was registered.
"Based on the media reports and directions from senior police officials, an FIR has been registered into the case. The victim had not given any complaint to police but we will record statements and will probe the case," said Ajay Kumar, Station House Officer of Kasna police station.
Reports said that the victim had lodged a case of gang-rape against the main accused Vinit Rajbhushan who along with his nephew Ankit and a few unknown men had gang raped her in December
Soon after the case being lodged, the accused persons have been forcing her to withdraw the case.
The reports further said that the victim was in a relationship with Vinit when he on the pretext of marriage made physical relations and also involved friends who forcefully raped her in December 2018.
The victim also got pregnant in the incident.
