Police Families Welfare Society to organise summer camps
NEW DELHI: Police Families Welfare Society will organise summer camps at 10 welfare centres and other adopted police colonies under an 'adoption scheme' implemented for the first time for outreach of programmes, including welfare skill enhancement and sporting activities for families of police personnel.
Police colonies like Civil Lines, Sarai Rohilla, Ashok Vihar, Rohini Sector-11, Paschim Vihar, Tilak Nagar, Andrewj Ganj, Model Town, Pocket B-4 Narela, Kaushambi and Mehram Nagar are among the colonies that will hold the camps from May 21 to June 9.
A wide range of activities will be organised for different age groups, including yoga, dance, English speaking, self-defence, drama, vedic Maths, arts and craft, computer education, music, cooking, aerobics, meditation, rangoli making, calligraphy, counseling by psychiatrists among others.
Different activities and time-slots have been allotted to different welfare centres.
