New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Friday refused to entertain a petition seeking treatment of 'Vande Matram' at par with the National Anthem.
"We see no reason to entertain the petition," said a Division Bench presided by Chief Justice D.N. Patel and Justice C. Harishankar while dismissing the petition.
The petition filed by BJP leader Ashwini Upadhyay also sought directions to the government to take appropriate steps to ensure that 'Jana Gana Mana' and 'Vande Mataram' were sung in all schools on every working day.
