One arrested with over 1kg Ganja near Peeragarhi

A 26-year-old man was held with more than 100-kg of Ganja on Saturday, police said.

The accused, identified as Kapil alias Vicky, is a resident of Baprolla and was held near Peeragarhi Metro Station on the basis of a tip-off.

"We sent a team to the spot and identified the accused who was inside a Santro car. He tried to flee when we asked him to stop," said a senior police official.

When the police checked his car they found the contraband in four bundles at the rear seat of the car.
