Murder accused in property dispute held

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police special cell arrested a criminal Manish Chowdhary who has been declared a proclaimed offender in a murder case of Govindpuri in Delhi. Accused was apprehended from Sector Zeta-1, Greater Noida, UP. A reward of rupees fifty thousand was declared on information leading to arrest.

Owing to a property dispute, Manish Choudhary along with his family members has attacked one Jitender and his family members who were also resident of same village on June 8 in 2018. Jitender succumbed to the injuries sustained in this attack, while other family members of Jitender @ Jitu suffered grievous injuries. On interrogation, accused Manish Choudhary revealed that he along with his father and other family members reside in village Kangar Mohalla, Tugalqabad, Delhi. His four uncles also reside in the same village with their family members. His father had a property dispute on a piece of land in Village Tuglaqabad with one Jitender who was also a resident of the same village. In June 2018, Manish along with his father and other family members attacked Jitender with wooden sticks and iron rods and he succumbed to death. Three uncles of Manish Choudhary identified as Gyanaender, Jagat and Kartar along with three other relatives have already been arrested in this case. Accused Manish Choudhary and his father Subhash were absconding in the case and declared proclaimed offender in the case.
