Mother among five arrested for son's murder in Dadri

Greater Noida: A 45-year-old woman has been arrested by police for allegedly getting her 20-year-old son murdered by contract killers, after he objected to the woman's practice of certain rituals and her alleged relationship with an occultist in Luharli village in Dadri, said police.

Police, on Friday, arrested five persons, including the occultist, the woman and her son-in-law for the murder.

According to police, the incident occurred on June 18, when the body of deceased Anshul was found in the bushes in Kot village of Dadri, with his throat slit through a sharp and blunt object. Upon investigating the case, police came to know that Suresh Devi, the deceased youth's mother, plotted his murder along with her son-in-law, the occultist and two other hired contract killers. The deal for murder was made for Rs 35, 000.

'The boy often fought with his mother whenever the occultist visited their house,' said Nishank Sharma, Circle Officer, Dadri.
