Misty Saturday morning in Delhi, air quality 'very poor'

New Delhi: It was a misty Saturday morning in the national capital with the minimum temperature recorded at 13.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average and the air quality remained under the 'very poor' category.

According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), the overall air quality was recorded AQI 349 against 337 on Friday.

As per Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the AQI at Bawana was 319 and of Mundka was 320 both under 'very poor' category while at Anand Vihar was 283 which is under poor category.

Meanwhile, the weather office predicted a clear sky during the day.

"The sky will remain mainly clear with shallow fog and mist in the morning," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

The maximum temperature to hover around 29 Celsius for the day.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 69 per cent.

Friday's maximum temperature settled at 27.7 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 11.3 degrees Celsius, the season's average.
