Minor boy found hanging from tree in Jasola area

New Delhi: Body of a 16 years old boy was found hanging from the tree in Jasola area of South East Delhi on Tuesday.

Police said that the minor hanged himself and further investigation in the case is going on.

The minor had told his parents that he is going for treatment. Hours later his body was spotted.

According to police, they were alerted about the incident on October 8 around 9.30 am when the Sarita Vihar police station received PCR call in which caller told them that one person was hanging from a tree between Metro Yard and Agra Canal drainage near Jasola Mother dairy.

They immediately rushed to the spot.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East) Chinmoy Biswal said that deceased was later identified as a 16-year old boy who lived with his family in South East Delhi's Abul Fazal Enclave area.

Adding further DCP said that during the local enquiry, It was also revealed that last midnight around 12 deceased suffered some minor injury due to road accident near Hari Kothi in Abul Fazal Enclave. From there he left the spot for treatment.

Later he went to his house where parents got angry at him. On the pretext of treatment, the minor left the home. His body was spotted in the morning by a passerby.

DCP South East said that during the further investigation they came to know that on the tree his foot mark with blood was observed it shows that he climbed and hanged himself.

Further investigation is in progress. Police have also questioned a few persons in this regard.
