Manipuri man murders cousin, absconds

NEW DELHI: A Manipur man working in a call centre in NCR has been found murdered in his rented accommodation in Sunlight Colony in South-East Delhi. The man has been identified as Suihaimi Khangah. The police received a call about the incident in the wee hours of Thursday. When the cops reached the spot, they found blood stains on the body and also on the floor of the house. He was immediately rushed to the hospital by the CATS ambulance but was declared brought dead by the hospital.

Initially, cops found it hard to identify the body but later the deceased's brother reached the hospital and identified him as Suihaimi Khangah. He also suspected that the roommate would have murdered him as he was absconding.

Police suspect that his roommate and cousin identified as Lei Shingham may have murdered Khangah. Sources in the police said that the deceased and the accused were from the same village in Manipur and stayed in a rented accommodation in a flat in Sunlight Colony. "It is learnt that the roommate and cousin of the deceased Lei Shingham was assaulted by the deceased over the issue of withdrawal of money by the deceased from his account. This made him angry and an altercation took place. It looks like he was murdered with a blunt object," said DCP South-East Chinmoy Biswal.
