Man held at IGIA with Rs 63L gold

New Delhi: The customs at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport on Friday arrested one person with gold. The value of the gold was more than Rs 63 lakh.

According to customs, a 35-year-old man, resident of Mumbai arrived at T-3 of IGI airport on November 7 from Hong Kong by flight was intercepted by the customs officers at IGI airport after he crossed the green channel. Deputy Commissioner of Customs Kalrav Mishra said that the personal and baggage search of the passenger resulted in the recovery of 16 gold kadas and two gold chains total weighing 1681 grams, valued nearly Rs 63.86 lakh.
