Man held after bid to kidnap beauty parlour employee fails

Delhi Police have arrested a man for trying to kidnap a woman employed in a beauty parlour in South Delhi's Vasant Kunj.
The accused has been identified as Rohit Chowdhary, who works as a driver near the parlour. Cops have booked him under relevant sections of the IPC for kidnapping and molestation.
The incident occurred on Saturday, around 7.30 pm, when the woman left the parlour. As she reached the colony gate, she noticed a car following her.
Two men in the car, one of them Rohit, then asked her about a girl working in the beauty parlour. The girl realised that they were asking about her and told them about it.
Immediately, Rohit tried to pull her into the car. However, the girl resisted and managed to and raise and alarm. "The parlour owner came out after hearing my daughter's call for help. She and another girl blocked the car's path when the men tried to flee, but they managed to flee," said the victim's father.
Soon, a PCR call was made and a police team reached at the spot. The statement of the girl was taken and cops began looking for the accused.
"Based on CCTV footage, a raid was conducted and the accused, Rohit Chowdhary, 22, a resident of Ghitorni was arrested and the Maruti car used in the crime recovered. His associate have also been identified and will be arrested shortly," said Additional DCP South Chinmoy Biswal.
