Man dies after receiving burn injuries in Sarai Rohilla

New Delhi: A 46-year-old man who was found with burn injuries died in North Delhi's Sarai Rohilla on Sunday. Police claimed that they found a note from the spot in which it was written that the deceased was having some kind of financial problems. According to police, on Sunday a PCR call was received at Sarai Rohilla police station regarding a fire at Shastri Nagar, which was broke in a room on the second floor.

The police claimed that the room was found to be locked from inside and the police staff broke the lock and entered the room where a person was lying on the floor near the bathroom and was severely burnt.

The patient was taken to Hindu Rao hospital by the CATS ambulance where the patient was declared brought dead by the doctors. On inquiry from the residents, it revealed that the deceased Naveen Kumar Gupta was living alone. His family belonged to Chandi Chowk and the ancestral property was sold many years back. He is divorced and his parents and two of his sisters are residing in Delhi. Investigation of the case is in progress.
