Man dies after falling from 16th floor
Greater Noida: A 40-year-old man died after he fell off the 16th floor of a multi storey tower at a high rise residential society of Greater Noida West on late Tuesday night. Cops suspected it to be a suicide citing mental depression reason behind the death.
According to police, the deceased identified as Sunil Kumar Lodaniya worked as a service agent of electric goods in Noida. Cops added that Kumar was living separately from his wife and kids for the past seven years and was under mental depression.
As per reports, the incident occurred around 11:45 pm on Tuesday. Kumar, a native of sector 22 of Noida, committed suicide at his sister's house at 16th floor in tower 4 of Nirala estate society of Greater Noida West. He had visited his sister's house on a day before he took the extreme step to end his life.
It has been also said that he was suffering from depression because of disturbances in his married life. "Kumar was living separately from wife and kids since last 7 years. He committed suicide at his sister's house while the other members of the family went to sleep," said one of deceased's family members.
Meanwhile, police said that the body was first spotted by the lobby guard who immediately raised an alarm.
"A PCR call was received from the security officer of the society who reported the matter. Police team rushed to the spot and took the body into custody which was later sent for postmortem. No suicide note has been recovered from the spot while we suspect that the man was under mental stress after being isolated by his family," said Manoj Pathak, Station House officer at Bisrakh police station.
