Man arrested for sexually assaulting his 2 daughters

Gurugram: A man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting his two minor daughters in Sohna area. He was arrested by the Gururgam police on Saturday.

The incident was reported to a woman police station by the mother of the victims who is from Nepal.

The woman in her complaint said that her husband, who worked as a labourer here, raped her 17-year-old daughter from her first marriage in her absence.

He also sexually assaulted his own 9-year-old daughter on several occasions, the woman alleged.

According to law enforcement officials, the woman told the police that she married the man in 2003. The couple have a daughter and a son,

Both the victims on Friday informed their mother about the crime, following which she approached the Gurugram police.

"During counselling, the victims said they were being sexually assaulted by their father on many occasions. Immediately after filing the complaint police team immediately arrested the accused on Saturday and he confessed to committing the crime, said a senior police official from Gurugram police. The man has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

It has been officially revealed that Gurugram also leads in several sexual assault cases against the minors. There were 354 cases registered under the protection of children from sexual offences Act (POCSO). Co-incidentally the figures were way lower that Faridabad that has total cases of 412 cases of sexual crimes against minors.
