Man arrested for burning pages of Constitution

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Sunday claimed that they have arrested one 40-year-old man from Faridabad area who with his supporters burnt the bare Act of Constitution and shouted slogans against SC/ST Act, Dr Ambedkar and the Constitution of India in New Delhi district. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also tweeted that "Absolutely shocking that Constitution of India burnt at Jantar Mantar in police presence and no action taken. Is BJP govt in collusion?"

The accused was identified as Deepak Gaur. On August 10, Anil Tanwar, National In charge of Akhil Bhartiya Bheem Sena lodged a complaint regarding burning the Book of Constitution and slogan shouting against Dr Ambedkar and SC/ST community by protestors of organisation namely Youth for Equality on August 9 at Parliament Street.
