Labourer's body found at construction site in Ghaziabad's Indirapuram

Ghaziabad: A 35-years-old labourer was found dead at an under construction site in Vasundhara area under Indirapuram of Ghaziabad on Sunday morning. Police found dead body of the labourer was found hanging from the railing of a flat on the sixth floor of the building.

According to police, the dead body was found around 6 am in the morning. A security guard had informed police about it.

"His neck was tied around the rope. Prima facie, it appears as a case of suicide" said Nazeer Ali Khan, Station House Officer (SHO) of Indirapuram.

"As per the other labourers, the deceased was identified as Gautam who used to work as a labourer for last few months at an under construction condominium, JNC Green Woods. He used to reside in the same campus," Khan added.

However, police is yet to verify his identity as there is lack of any of his identity proof documents.

"We searched his clothes and belongings but didn't find any proof to verify his identity, not even a mobile phone," said Khan.

For now, police have sent the body for postmortem and interrogating the other labourers and the contractor for further investigation.
