J&K MLAs call on CM, visit Delhi govt schools

NEW DELHI: A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Ethics Committee called on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at the Delhi Secretariat on Friday.
The J&K MLAs, during the meeting, sought details about the Delhi government's initiatives in education and health sectors, and asked Kejriwal about the implementation of free medicines and diagnostic tests scheme in Delhi government hospitals.
The visiting delegation expressed a keen interest in knowing how the Delhi government is sustaining such public welfare measures and how it is coping with the rush at its hospitals.
The MLAs later went to the Sarvodya Bal Vidyalaya, Rouse Avenue, ITO, and went around the school.
They inspected the smart classrooms, modern sports facilities, multi-purpose hall and other refurbished infrastructure of the school.
Led by Ethics Committee chairman Abdul Rahim Rather, the delegation also visited the renovated Delhi government schools and later met Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel.
