Illegal firearms factory based in Rajasthan busted

New Delhi: The Crime Branch of Delhi Police on Monday claimed that they have busted an illegal firearms factory based in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. Four persons were arrested and 10 weapons were seized. Police identified the accused as Talim Khan (25), Nauman (35), Najar Hussain (33) and Juber Khan (32). Additional Commissioner of Police (crime) Ajit Singla said that they received information that members of an illegal firearms syndicate would come to Chhalwa area for delivery of a huge consignment of illegal firearms to someone in Najafgarh area.

The crime branch formed under DCP Joy Tirkey led by Inspector Richhpal Singh laid a trap and four members of the gang were apprehended on Dwarka-Chhawla road while they were travelling in their Swift car. At the instance of the accused persons, raids were conducted by the crime branch in Mewat region at top of Ghadijaan Pahadi, District Bharatpur, Rajasthan and an entire illegal arms manufacturing unit was unearthed.
