Haryana couple found dead in Paharganj

New Delhi: The bodies of a male and a female have been found in Paharganj. Police say they suspect they consumed some poisonous substance.

On Thursday, a PCR call was received that two dead bodies are lying in Centre Park Aram Bagh, Paharganj. A police team was sent to the spot. On reaching the spot, two persons, one male aged about 24-25 years and one female aged around 19-20 years were found lying dead in the centre park Aram Bagh Paharganj. On inspection, no injury was found over both the dead bodies.

"Prima facie it appears that both the deceased have consumed some poisonous substance. The spot was then inspected by crime team," said DCP Central, MS Randhawa.

Both the dead bodies were shifted to LHMC hospital and then sent for postmortem. Later on, the male was identified as Vipin Kumar, a resident of village Nangal Mala, Distt Mahendergarh (Haryana) and the female as Saroj from Mahendergarh (Haryana).

Both the persons were missing from Mahendergarh from September10.
