Girl 'taunted' by teachers over poor marks, ends life

Noida: A 13-year-old girl student of Ahlcon public school allegedly committed suicide after slipping into depression following low marks obtained in the recent exams and harassment faced by the teachers inside her house in Secor 52 of Noida on Tuesday evening.

The victim was Ekisha Raghav Shah (13), daughter of Raghav Shaw, the family living on rent in Sector-52 of Noida. She allegedly hanged himself from a ceiling fan in his room. After that parents took the girl to the Kailash Hospital, where the doctor declared here dead.

Raghav Shah, the father of the deceased is the classical dance teacher and he taught the children classical dance in his house. Raghav learnt the classical dance from the Pandit Birju Maharaj. According to family members, her parents were out for some work and they grew suspicious as she did not open house door for a long time and when they forcibly opened the house door and after that her room door, Ekisha was found hanging.

Family members alleged that she committed suicide after facing mentally harassment by school teachers. Aryan Shaw, elder brother alleged that she failed in two subjects- Social Science and Science in ninth standard, due to which she went into depression," said Aryan.

When Ekisha's parents went to school and spoke to the school teachers and asked to show the answer sheets, they rejected. Parents also want to check the answer sheet but they did not give them after that Ekishaw told to their parents that they will take

the revenge.
