Gang of thieves busted by Metro patrol team

New Delhi: A 40-year-old man and his two associates were arrested for his involvement in a theft case in Delhi Metro on Friday.
Police claimed that the accused was identified as Shakil (40), Shakil (26) and Arslan (19).
Deputy Commissioner of Police (metro) Pankaj Singh stated that the Special teams of Delhi Metro which patrol on busiest routes of the metro in plain clothes, got hold of the culprits.
One of the teams which were on patrolling at New Delhi Metro Station saw a victim being targeted while he was boarding the train.
When the complainant was trying to board the train, three persons came and covered him.
"Shakil stole his mobile from his pocket and passed it to his next associate but the staff of Special Patrolling Team caught all of them at the station. On personal search, the stolen mobile phone was recovered," police said.
