Former cricketer Manoj Prabhakar booked for cheating

New Delhi: Delhi Police has booked former Cricket Manoj Prabhakar, his wife Farheen Prabhakar, his son and one of his associate Sanjeev Goyal in a cheating case after a senior citizen lady has alleged that Prabhakar along with his associates has fraudulently rented her property to a person when she was in London.

She has also accused him of making forged papers of her flat. Two unknown people have also been booked by Delhi Police in this case.

The woman identified as Sandhya Sharma Pandit said that she resided on the second floor in an apartment in Sarvapriya Vihar in Malviya Nagar. Prabhakar resides on the first floor. She has also alleged that her expensive items in the flat were also stolen.

According to the victim, her husband bought the fully furnished property from a builder in Sarva Priya apartment in Malviya Nagar in 1995. The family resided in the flat till 2006 before they moved out to London.

After that, the brother in law of the woman along with her family friends resided in the flat. However, the flat was left vacant in 2018.

The victim alleged that when she returned from London in September this year, she found that someone else was staying in her flat. The locks and the doors were also changed. When she contacted Prabhakar and his wife who stayed on the first floor, they said the property belongs to them. The woman then approached Delhi Police Commissioner after which an FIR was registered in the case at Malviya Nagar police station.
