Five murders in 24 hours
New Delhi: Five persons were gunned down by assailants in different parts of the city in 24 hours. Police said that personal enmity was the reason behind the killings. According to police two incidents were reported from Bhalswa Dairy area of Outer North on Thursday. "A property dealer was shot dead by unidentified assailants. In another case, a minor was murdered on Thursday night," police said.
In another case, a person was shot dead in Vikaspuri area in West Delhi whereas, on Friday, in broad daylight, two persons were killed inside their car in North East Delhi's Nand Nagri.
Killed before sister's marriage
A 17-year-old boy was murdered in Bhalswa Dairy area on Thursday. Police said that they apprehended a juvenile in the case.
DCP (outer north) Gaurav Sharma said that as per the version of juvenile, deceased used to beat him. Two days earlier, there was some scuffle between them.
Deceased's father said that he got information about the incident around 11.30 PM regarding his son lying on the street. "I rushed to the spot and found my son lying in a pool of blood. Later doctor pronounced him dead," added father. The family was preparing for marriage function and the deceased's birthday later in June.
Property dealer shot dead
In Bhalswa Dairy, a property dealer identified as Chandrashekhar was shot dead by assailants. Police said that suspects are from the same family. "He was shot on Thursday evening. We suspect property dealing might be the reason behind the incident," added police.
Gunned down in a car in Nand Nagri
In broad daylight, two persons, Khurvesh and Kanchi, were shot dead inside their car. Police said that Khurvesh was a bad character. When asked whether it is a gang war, DCP Atul Thakur said that prima facie, it appears to be a case of personal enmity. "The motive for the crime in prima facie is personal enmity(quarrel over a petty issue in Munshi Market Nand Nagri a year ago)," said Thakur adding that one suspect has been apprehended.
He further said that multiple teams are working on the case and vital clues have been found. The case has been registered.
Murder in West Delhi
A 35-year-old man identified as Amit Kochar was shot dead near his home in West Delhi area on Thursday. DCP West Monika Bharadwaj said that on Wednesday he was at his home with his four friends. At 10.50 PM, someone rang the doorbell. "Amit Kochar went out and sat in his car along with a few other boys. After 10 minutes his other friends inside the home heard gunshots. He was brought dead at the hospital," added DCP West.
