First scrap purchaser's meet organised at Shakurbasti Store Depot

New Delhi: In a bid to create more transparency for the scrap buyers and subsequenlty, to provide wide spectrum to every available buyers, the store department of Northern Railway orgainsed first Scrap Purchase Meet-2018. However, Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) has developed an user friendly and modified platform to make it more feasible to the scrap buyers, said an official.

The 1st Scrap Purchasers Meet-2018 was organised at Shakurbasti Store Depot, on this occasion, Ram Lal ,Principal Chief Materials Manager, Northern Railway, was the Chief Guest. "Several other officials viz a viz Chief Material Manager, Sale,Chief Material Manager/Marketing and Sr. Divisional Material Manager's all the Divisions and Depot complex Auction conducting Officers were present in the meet," said in a statement.

Purchasers from different location i.e. Jagadhari, Moradabad, Lucknow, Ferozpur, Delhi and Ambala attended the meeting. "In the meet, suggestions and complaints of purchasers were invited from the participants," said an official.

Manoj Kumar, General Manager/CRIS made a presentation on upcoming modification in e-auction procedure which will be initiated from Shakurbasti Depot as a pilot programme.
