Factory fire in Sarai Rohilla: Case registered against unidentified person

New Delhi: The Delhi Police has registered a case against unknown person for setting fire to a factory in Sarai Rohilla area of North Delhi.

According to police, on November 9, around 3:30 pm they were alerted about the fire reported in factory in Old Rohtak road area in Sarai Rohilla.

After the police team reached spot they found that fire had engulfed the first and second floors of the building.

According to police, fire brigade also reached the spot and doused the fire.

During investigation it was found that burnt steel pipes, baskets were found in both the floors. The further investigation revealed that the way the incident took place, police suspect that it was the mischief of some anti social element who sets factory on fire.

A case under sections 436 (Mischief by fire or explosive substance with intent to destroy house, etc) of IPC was registered.

Meanwhile, in another case a person became the victim of theft in Mehrauli area.

According to complainant the incident took place on November 7 when he was going to his house.

After he reach at CDR Chhatarpur chowk red light, a person knocked his car window.

"As soon as lawyer slided the car's window glass down another person came and started hitting the window. Later he found that his mobile and cash was missing from his car," police said.
