Elderly man commits suicide in Mohan Garden

New Delhi: A 75-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself from a fan with the help of cloth in Mohan Garden area of Dwarka.

Police identified the deceased as Subodh Kumar resident of Mohan Garden. According to police on September 18, in the morning at about 10:30 am, Mohan Garden police station got the information from the deceased's family about suicide.

The investigating agency added that during the visit of the spot, the deceased was found hanging from the fan with a cloth. It came to notice that the deceased was a depression patient for the last 5-6 yrs and was getting treatment from DDU Hospital.

Police added that the incident spot reported in a three-story building and the deceased used to sleep on the ground floor. In the morning, the family members got to know about the suicide when they entered inside the room by opening the door through the window.
