DU's EC clears nominations to Governing Bodies of 28 colleges

New Delhi: The Executive Council (EC) of the Delhi University at its emergent meeting held on March 7 considered the nominations of persons on the Governing Bodies of 28 Delhi Government sponsored colleges, received from the Government of NCT of Delhi.

The EC unanimously decided to appeal to the Government of NCT of Delhi to release funds immediately to the colleges so that teachers, staff and students are not adversely affected. The EC examined each case and approved the same with some deletions and decided to request the Delhi Government to fill in the information gap such as educational qualification, profession, affiliation and address of some recommended members at the earliest.

The EC decided to communicate all the remaining names to the respective colleges–so that the Governing Bodies are constituted at earliest.
