Delhi ministers snubbed for ITO Skywalk inauguration

NEW DELHI: The rift between the BJP-led Centre and the AAP-led Delhi government widened once again, as there was no mention of any Delhi government minister in the invitation for the inauguration ceremony of the ITO Skywalk.

The invite sent out by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has the names of Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and BJP MP from New Delhi Meenakshi Lekhi, but no names of any minister or MLA from the ruling AAP.

Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Puri is set to inaugurate the Skywalk on October 15.

Reacting on the matter, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi, "It is hardly an issue. We are concerned with the work. Delhi must improve. The lives of Delhi's people must improve. That is enough. Congratulations on the inauguration."
