Delhi Metro services hit on three Lines

New Delhi: Commuters at the Delhi Metro had a harrowing time as the services on the metro networks were briefly delayed on on three line– Red line, Magenta line and Violet lines –during the peak hours on Monday.

The commuters claimed that the train took 20 minutes to go from one station to another. However, the metro official said that it's not a major issue, and all the services will be normal shortly. Moreover, DMRC tweeted about the delay in services from Kashmere Gate to Shaheed Sthal. Apart from this, trains on Magenta Line were also running slow between Botonical Garden towards Janak puri. DMRC further tweeted that the normal services were resumed.

However, during the mid day, a signalling issue was also reported on the Violet line and services were reported to be briefly delayed.

A DMRC official said that, "There was a brief delay from Raja Nahar Singh towards Badarpur on the violet line due to a signaling issue at around 2.30 pm. He also added that the services were restored shortly. "Slow movement and delay in service on the Metro network have become a regular affair," said Rajesh Kumar, a daily commuter at Kashmere Gate metro station. "The trains were running at a snail's pace and it was distressing moments as I was getting late to home, but could not help," he said. He also said, that confusion prevailed among the commuters when no announcement was made from the authority.
