Delhi CM, PM Modi to hold rallies in Ggn

Gurugram: Labelled as not just the richest city in Haryana but also the third richest in India in terms of per capita income, Gurugram will soon be the focal point of major rallies of top leaders.

The inauguration date of Kundli-Manesar-Palway expressway was recently deferred to facilitate its inauguration by the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The date has now been set on November 17-18. Earlier, the Prime Minister was expected to launch KMP expressway through video conference, but not he is expected to arrive in the city.

There are also reports that Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will hold a rally in Gurugram in the last week of November. Gurugram's proximity to the national Capital has resulted in the party having a sizeable presence in Gurugram. Some popular AAP leaders from the city include RS Rathee, who is an MCG councilor, and Nisha Singh.

Some of the issues that are being raised by AAP towards the development of the city include ensuring better sanitation and cleanliness, replenishing the groundwater table and improving the erratic power supply.
