NDMC launches 12 libraries for schools

New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has launched 12 libraries for the primary schools on Friday.
Member of Parliament Meenakshi Lekhi after inaugurating the event said that reading is dreaming with eyes wide open and it is useful for children for imagination by open eyes dreaming by books.
It is necessary to encourage the reading habits amongst the children in the age of digital gadgets, Lekhi added in her lecture.
Meenakshi also read a story which was based on the health and hygiene, which also narrates the positive aspects of the "segregation of waste at source in one's life".
Naresh Kumar, Chairman of New Delhi Municipal Council in the event said, "The Angelique Pustakalayas has been developed with the aim to promote the habit of readings amongst the primary schools."
