Duo land in cop net for killing property dealer in Gurugram

The Crime Branch of Gurugram Police on Friday arrested two people accused of the murder of property dealer Narender Kataria.
On June 22, the 28-year old was shot dead at Sector -9 area after he was approaching towards his SUV following a game of badminton.
The arrested duo has been identified as Shashikant and Arjun. Both the culprits belong to Basai situated on the outskirts of Gurugram. They were nabbed from Farrukhnagar area after they were planning to flee the city.
According to cops, the duo during interrogation confessed to their crime of killing Narender. The main reason behind the murder was cited to be an altercation between them and the deceased.
On June 22, around 8:30 pm Narender was gunned down with four bullets being pumped into his body. The case was registered at Sector-9 Police station and a special team was formed for investigation.
The accused also stated that there were two more people namely Sumit and Lalit who were involved and are at large. The accused will be charged under a section of IPC 302 (murder) section 34 and 25-54-59 of the Arms Act.
Earlier, it was estimated that Naresh was killed due to a property dispute.
The brazen acts of property dealers being shot dead is not a new phenomenon in the city. In February this year, two people were gunned down in broad day light and one critically injured at a realty office in Farrukhnagar.
In yet another property dispute case, a property dealer was shot dead in the Garhi Harsaru area when he was coming out of his office.
