CBI arrests Delhi Police ASI for bribery

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Delhi Police Assistant Sub-Inspector posted at Dabri police station for demanding and accepting a bribe.
A case was registered by CBI on a complaint, alleging that ASI Raja Ram was investigating a case of dowry filed by the complainant's wife and had demanded a bribe of Rs.6,000 for diluting the case in favour of the complainant.
Following this, the CBI then laid a trap and caught the ASI red-handed while demanding and accepting the bribe from the complainant. Searches were conducted on Friday at the premises of the accused.
The arrested accused will be produced on Saturday in the Designated Court at Dwarka in West Delhi, said sources.
