GNIDA appoints Rahul Bhatnagar as its new chairman

The Uttar Pradesh government appointed Rahul Bhatnagar as the new chairman of Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) on Thursday.

In a major reshuffle, the UP government transferred 40 senior IAS officials on the same day.
Bhatnagar has also been given an additional charge of investment commissioner of Uttar Pradesh, in New Delhi. He was continuing as chief secretary from the days of previous Samajwadi Party government and the appointment was long awaited after the change of guard in the state after the BJP came to power in March after the Assembly elections.
Among other postings, Dr. Prabhat Kumar has been relieved from the charge of Chairman of Greater Noida Authority. However, he will continue to be the Chairman of the Yamuna Expressway Authority and the Divisional Commissioner of Meerut.
Debashish Panda, is currently posted as the Investment Commissioner and Resident Commissioner in New Delhi and also holds the charge of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Greater Noida, has been divested of his charge as the Investment Commissioner but would continue with his other responsibilities.
