Ggn building plans, maps to be available online

The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) will soon be delivering the maps and building plan of the houses online. The initiative by the municipal body to go digital will provide respite to large number of citizens in the city who have to frequent the MCG for getting important documentation for their houses.

Moreover, through the process, the applicant will be able to track the progress of the application and will also be provided information by the department through text.

It takes around one and half to two months for passing of the building plans or maps for the houses. However, the officials mention that with operations going digital the time frame will reduce to one month.

On their part, the public officials have begun preparations for online processes. Presently, trial run is being initiated where objections and suggestions of the digital processes are being sought from the citizens. It is expected that the online process of providing maps and building plans will begin in the last week of June. "Most of the applicants have complaints against officials for not passing the maps of their houses and building plans in time.

"Now with the online process everything will be more transparent and clear. Once we go digital, we will not be accepting the documents manually and the applicant will have to put his documents online," said Sudhir Chauhan, Senior Town Planner.
