Cops to transfer dreaded Bhondsi jail inmates to Tihar

Six dreaded gangs locked up in Bhondsi jail in Gurugram are carrying out nefarious activities inside the jail premises, said Gurugram police.

According to senior officials, they suspect that these gangs are using mobile phones to contact their gang members to carry out notorious activities. Also, these miscreants are planning to extort money and physically harm other jail inmates.

These include Manjeet Mahal gang, Kaushal gang, Kishan gang, Hayatpuri gang, Sandeep Gadoli gang and Binder Gujjar gang.

Most of these gang members have been charged with serious offences like extortion, burglaries, and murders. Not only in Gurugram but criminals of these gangs also have various cases filed in states of Haryana, Rajasthan Uttrakhand, and Delhi.

Along with the reports of cell phones being used inside the jail, incidents of a Violetscuffle between the rival gang members have been reported from the Bhondsi Jail.

Looking at the dangers involved, Sumit Kumar DCP (Crime) Gurugram Police have written to the Tihar authorities asking them if certain criminals can be transferred to Delhi.

"A major advantage to most of these criminals is that they can easily communicate with the officials in Bhondsi jail. In Tihar Jail with a large number of officials being from the southern part of the country, it will be difficult for them to form reliable sources.

Further even as we have captured most of the criminals and lodged them in the jail there are still a lot of criminals who are still out in the open waiting to eliminate their enemies.

We have therefore been requesting authorities in Tihar Jail to take criminals who have cases registered against them in Delhi," said a senior official from Gurugram Police.

The Gurugram Police claims that most of the members of the major gang have either been neutralised or arrested by them.

Out of the six major gangs in Gurugram the Police at present has been able to arrest and kill four gang leaders except for Hayatpuri and Kishan gang.
There have been over forty gangsters arrested by the Gurugram Police in last six months.

Recently the cops nabbed Sandeep and four of his accomplices that had over 16 murders between them. The five were working for the Binder Gujjar gang and were in charge of eliminating gang's adversaries
