CM reviews preparations for Assembly elections

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday met the MPs, MLAs, councillors, and district in-charges of AAP to take stock of the party's preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections in Delhi. During the meeting, CM discussed the feedback from MLAs on the ongoing Mega Jan Samvad campaign, which is the fourth phase of AAP's election campaign.

AAP Delhi convener Gopal Rai said, "In the meeting, we have discussed the road map for the upcoming Assembly election and also discussed the feedback regarding the ongoing Mega Jan Samvad campaign at booth level. The party also discussed how, given the unprecedented work done by this government, the party should go directly to the people and ask them for funds for the election campaign."

The leaders present in the meeting said that people are very happy about the corruption-free governance model of the AAP. They also said that the people of Delhi are happy with the work done by AAP in the sectors of education, health, power, water and others. They also observed that the AAP has fulfilled all the elections manifesto promises even before the completion of its five year term.

The MLAs said that the people are happy with the party because of the initiatives like Mohalla Clinics, free electricity till 200 units, free water connection, free WiFi, free rides for women in the buses, CCTV cameras, installation of street lights, and many other schemes.

The AAP launched its mega campaign from November 18, keeping in mind the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections. This mega campaign will continue till December 24. During this campaign, Jan Samvads will be held at all the 14,000 booths of 70 Vidhan Sabha constituencies under the leadership of the respective MLAs.
