CISF detects Red Sandalwood weighing approx 43 kg at IGIA

New Delhi: CISF on Sunday said that they detected Red Sandalwood weighing approx 43 kg at IGI Airport.

According to CISF on October 12 on profiling basis, CISF surveillance and intelligence personnel of IGI Airport selected two passengers for thorough checking in the check-in area of Terminal-3. They were diverted to random checking point for thorough checking of their luggage.

CISF further added that on physical checking of their baggage, some bundles of Red Sandalwood weighing approx 43 kg were found inside their bags. The passengers were identified as Vishal Kumar and Ankit Kumar, bound for Hong Kong.

During the enquiry, the passengers could not produce any documents for carrying the same. Later, both the passengers along with the recovered Sandalwood weighing approximately 43 Kg were handed over to the customs officials for further legal action.
