BJP welcomes 2-member SIT in anti-Sikh riot case

New Delhi: Delhi BJP on Friday welcomed the Supreme Court's decision to drop the process of notification of the third member, hence now a two-member SIT committee will submit its report on 1984 anti-Sikh riots case. Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari said that the party leaders had met Home Minister Rajnath Singh twice for the notification of the third member of the SIT and efforts of legal team has resulted in a new ray of hope for the Sikh community.

He said that earlier on November 13 a delegation comprising of BJP had met President Ram Nath Kovind and requested him to Intervene for speedy trial of 1984 Sikh riots case.
